ACCENTURE GRANTS $1.3 MILLION TO SAVE THE CHILDREN FOR YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIAL INNOVATION

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has granted $1.3 million to NGO Save the Children in South Africa for youth entrepreneurship and social innovation projects over a three-year period. Save the Children has been adopted as part of the Accenture Skills 2 Succeed (S2S) programme. Accenture has been working with Save the 
Children in other countries, but this is the first time they have engaged the South Africa 
cohort.

Emergency Alert: SA Floods

Save the Children South Africa calls for the protection of children as widespread flooding and heavy rains sweep through the country. The Co-operative Governance Department (COGTA) confirmed 12 deaths due to flooding in seven provinces in the country - four people in Mpumalanga, three in Eastern Cape, and four in KwaZulu-Natal and one in Gauteng. Many others were swept away by the rains and are still missing, thousands of people have been displaced from their homes.

The overall pass rate for the matric class of 2022 is 80.1% - a 3.7% improvement since the previous cohort.
